attn: mystery gathering attendees...

Is anyone bringing hot refreshments? Judging by the weather forecast
I think we'll need them. If no one else has thought of it, I can
bring a camp stove, cooking pot, spring water, tea, and hot
chocolate. Let me know!

In addition to cornmeal and molasses pudding, cornbread, and other
native dishes, Warrior Woman and her entourage are bringing a large
container of a hot stimulating beverage made from the steeping of a
dark roasted bean. We will also be bringing the traditional
accompaniments to the foods and beverage.

The Sachem's people shall be fed heartily and will be offered this
stimulating beverage to bolster their spirit for the hunt!

Fire for hot dogs would be great (can we build one there?) That's all
my son will eat I bet.

We are bringing (among other goodies) a camp stove and will have hot
soup. Hope it is a relatively big "longhouse"!

Warriorwoman, the roasted bean does not satisfy me; I'll bring hot
chocolate. I'll be leaving early in the a.m. to try to find Li'l
Rhodster, Dancing Men, and Pine Barrens of RI before the gathering.
I may also go by Daddy's Bread. Any requests?

See you there!

cscm,

Thou dost know my weakness ....

But my entourage may engage in a search for Signs of Life, and will
already be in the neighborhood of said Sacred Holy Place (blessed be
thy holy father, Daddy).

And I do believe that my hiking boots will land in puddles - again!

What can Darrin and I bring??? Since we are going to be out letterboxing and probably will not have time to heat anything in the oven (at the house) before lunch, is there anything cold and non spoilable we can bring????

Pam

P.S. Any idea on how many are coming?

My sense from reading the posts and from the number of people in just
our car alone, maybe 20-30? But I could be waaaaay off, in terms of
*under*estimation.

And I am assuming that this is a rain or shine event?

These are good things to know, especially for those of us coming in
from out of state.

But as this is a mystery gathering, perhaps we'll not find out until
we get there ...

Rain or more rain. It appears that many who have placed special
boxes for the event were thoughtful enough to place them close to
cover.
